Georgian Bay Club Foundation Donates
The Meaford Hospital Foundation recently received a $19,000 donation from the Georgian Bay Club Foundation (GBCF).

Supporting The Meaford Hospital Foundation
Shawn Kelly, President of the Kinsmen Club of Meaford and Dana Hawton, Preident of the Kinette Club of Meaford present Kevin Knight, President of the Meaford Hospital Foundation with their final installment of $5,000 towards the Capital Campaign. Total amount donated was $25,000 which the two club raised through community projects over the past 5 years.

Meaford Rotary Club Donation
The Rotary Club of Meaford has been a significant contributor to the Meaford Hospital Foundation's Capital Campaign. The Meaford Rotary Club made a pledge to contribute $100,000 over six years and this year's $10,000 donation means they are almost there. Next year will bring them to the conclusion of their pledge.
The Rotary Club knows and values the important role the hospital plays in the community and is proud to be a major contributor of this campaign said Rotary President Rick Galbraith.
"We want to thank all those in the community who support the various fundraising projects our club holds during the course of the year", he said.

Kiwanis Support Meaford Hospital Foundation
The Kiwanis Club of Meaford presented Dave Glass, Past-President of the Meaford Hospital Foundation, with a cheque for $5,000.

Rocklyn Junior Farmers Donate To The Meaford Hospital Foundation
The Rocklyn Junior Farmers recently made a $200 donation to the Meaford Hopsital Foundation.
The Junior Farmers are area residents aged 15 to 29, some live on farms and some do not. They spend time fundraising and volunteering in order to make donations to local causes.
The group also hosts events to promote agricultural awareness around the community and to teach farm safety. The Junior Farmers learn strong leadership skills while building friendships. The club holds barbecues in the warmer weather and a hockey tournament in March. Each moth the club makes a donation to a local organization using the funds raised at these events.

2009 5K Harbour Run Walk Stroll
$16,000 Donated for BiPap Machine
The Meaford Harbour 5K Run/Walk/Stroll Committee is pleased to announce $111,000 has been raised over the past fourteen years. Race crew members Andy Harrington, Kevin Knight, Pat Parsons, Brian Renken and Bob Parsons (photographer) met recently to announce $16,000 from the 2009 race will go towards the purchase of a $21,000 BiPap machine. The equipment is used in emergency situations at the Meaford Hospital to assist patients to breathe.
Barb Renken, Dave Glass, Janet and Frank Bassingthwaite were absent when the photo was taken.
Royal Canadian Legion Donates

Royal Canadian Legion Makes Donation
Meaford Hospital receives $7,500 from the Royal Canadian Legion. The Ontario Provincial Command Branches and Ladies' Auxiliaries Charitable Foundation has donated $7,500 for a Fracture Table used in Day Surgery at the GBHS Meaford Hospital. The Legion has been a long-time supporter of the Meaford Hospital Foundation donating over $35,000 towards the purchase of capital equipment at the Meaford Hospital.
